From the team behind Sushi Daily, comes Kelly’s Market – an in store market front that houses ready-to-eat and heat-at-home food, covering cuisines from around the globe, in the form of cuisine specific sub-brands.

Our challenge was to create a spatial design for Kelly’s Market to house each of the sub-brands sitting inside it, which spoke to the shared values that unify them, whilst also adding authenticity to each sub-brand’s cuisine.

We created a modular system that could be rolled out across superstores in the UK, with a clear distinction between the working kitchens and the customer interaction areas. We drew influence from the clean lines and raw materials of Japandi, as a nod to the primarily Asian cuisines on offer.

The role of interiors was to add authenticity to the cuisine, by alluding to heritage whilst also creating a cleaner, modern interpretation. Our challenge was creating a clear distinction between customer facing areas and the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, whilst being clear of the link between both areas. The clean aesthetic paired with warming materials feels welcoming and accessible, as well as allowing the sub-brands characters to POP.
