Many businesses claim they are a family, but at Caffe Nero this truly is the philosophy they live and breathe by. Although international in scale, every coffee house is treated as part of the community it lives within, from the furniture and, to the people. And like all communities it is the characters within that build the experience. So when asked to create a recruitment campaign, we thought there was no better way than to celebrate the individual characters within.

The central positioning is simple and clear. At Caffe Nero you can be you with us. A barista can make a positive difference to anyones day. Many who frequent a local coffee shop build rapport with those who serve them regularly and these connections are at the fabric of what makes Caffe Nero part of the community.

 
 
 
 
 

We wanted to develop a digital first recruitment campaign that was impactful and spoke to a people who had energy and passion. The core messaging was straight talking and fast paced with imagery shot of real baristas who represented the culture of the brand across the UK.

 
 
 
 
 

Platform specific content was developed for the brand, such as Facebook canvas’s that allowed the viewer to navigate both core proposition but take a deeper look at the baristas and what it is like to work for Caffe Nero.

 Digital first meant the brand could truly speak and target its audience in a way that resonated, whilst also allowing us to develop content specific to each platform to allow every story to be told with energy and honesty.
